The major European Drupal event 2018
Drupal Europe is the largest Drupal event taking place on the European continent this year, second in scale only to Drupalcon North America.
For anyone connected with the Drupal content management system - the companies that use and benefit from it, marketing managers, project managers, digital agencies, designers, developers - this is a unique opportunity to share experience, learn, discuss and connect.
The line-up includes the Drupal celebrities you would expect, plus world-class speakers from international companies and organizations. This unique conference offers a host of best-practise sessions, industry-specific showcases, in-depth workshops and engaging panel discussions.
The founder of Drupal, Dries Buytaert, will be giving the keynote presentation, just as he does at every large-scale Drupal conference.

Drupal Europe is Europe's biggest event for 2018 for those who wish to learn, share and connect around the best Drupal-based ambitious digital experiences. Attendees can build their individual schedule based on their interest and expertise (showcases, development, front-end techniques, dev-ops …) or along the industry-focused tracks:
- Publishing + Media
- Higher Education
- Digital Transformation + Enterprise
- Social + Non-Profit
- Drupal Technology
- Agency Business
- DevOps + Infrastructure
But Drupal Europe is not just about learning. Foster connections with attendees at social events: put your Drupal knowledge to test at the traditional Trivia Night, learn about award-winning projects that compete again in the European Splash Awards to find the best of the best. Or join one of the social/networking evening events that attendees usually organize themselves and promote via the conference website.
Mentored Contributions and Working Groups
Contributions are a major asset of any open source community. Usually “code sprints” are an integral part of any event. Drupal Europe goes beyond coding by offering “contribution space and time” instead, open to contributors of all skills (and energy levels!). Drupal is built by thousands of contributors, and all attendees with their individual expertise are welcome to become one of them. A team of mentors will be there to facilitate contributions and to match open tasks with the individual’s skills.
The Drupal community cherishes opportunities to discuss and prioritize their work face to face: opportunities to do so are rare in a world-wide Open Source project. In addition, working groups or individuals organize so-called “Birds of a Feather” (BoF) sessions during the event. Drupal Europe will offer time and space for both contributions and BoFs, with dedicated contribution days on Monday and Friday, as well as during the conference days.
Drupal and the Drupal Community
Drupal is a scalable, standards-based platform for web content management and building web applications that meet today's constantly evolving digital requirements.
The Drupal community is one of the largest and most active open source communities in the world. Developers, designers, consultants, software architects, content strategists, IT administrators, project managers, editors, translators, and web users are united in helping others succeed. This dedicated and friendly community gets together at Drupal Camps, meetups, and other events all around the globe, throughout the year.
